McMurtry - Elizabeth Russell

Elizabeth McMURTRY, wife of Alexander R. McMurtry, died in Rockville at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Butler, Jan. 28, 1901 after a long continued sickness and years of suffering. She was born near Bardstown, Nels on County, Kentucky, October 27, 1829; moved to Indiana in October, 184 6; united with the Presbyterian Church in 1851 under the pastorate of Re v. Wm. Y. Allen. Sept. 12, 1852 she was married to Mr. McMurtry, who wi th one son, E. C. McMurtry, and two daughters, Mrs. George Hathaway of Gre encastle and Mrs. H.B. Butler, survive her.
