McKinley - Charles C.
Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Review, July 30, 1881
Charles Carl McKinley died on the 22nd, only child of Thomas
McKinely at the age of 3 years, 4 months and 21 days. His death
resulted from a severe attack of scarlet fever with which he was
taken ill in January. He was a bright and intelligent child and
very affectionate. Even at his early age he was sensible of his
condition to the very last and at the last moment wanted to be
taken into his mother's arms where he breathed his last. His
parents deeply bewail their loss and their grief is almost
unconsolable.
