Hillsboro - Elbert McKee, 77, retired school teacher and farmer, died at Culver Hospital at 8:30 o'clock Saturday evening following a heart attack at his home here Friday. He was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon. He was born on Jan 3, 1874 in Parke County, the son of James and Sarah McKee. He married Belle Livengood and all their married life was spent in the community where he died. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Doan, of Covington and Mrs. Marie Carter of Hillsboro; a brother, Elwood McKee of Hillsboro and 3 grandchildren. Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the Crumley Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Rev. Guy Walter of Mellott. Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace. - kbz

A Masonic funeral service was held for Elbert McKee, 77, well known farmer of SE of Hillsboro on Tues July 31 at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro with burial in the Lutheran Cem.. Rev. Guy Walter of Mellott delivered the funeral service and the Masonic ritual was conducted by the Wallace Lodge of Masons. Mr. McKee was a retired school teacher and farmer who resided six miles southeast of Hillsboro and had recently purchased a home in Covington, had suffered a heart attack and was removed to Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville Friday afternoon. He died about 8 o'clock p.m. Sat July 28. Mr. McKee was born on Jan 3, 1874 in Parke Co the sson of James and Sarah McKee. He was married to Miss Belle Livengood and most of their married life was spent in the vicinity where he resided at the time of his death. Survivors are the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Doan of Covington, and Mrs. Marie Carter of Veedersburg. Mr. McKee was a member of both the Masonos a! nd the Eastern Star at Wallace, and was one of the best known citizens of the county. - kbz
