New Ross Jan 19 -- James H. McINTYRE, 57 died at his home here at 1:39 this afternoon as the result of a stroke of paralysis he suffered two days ago. Early Monday morning his wife discovered him making unusual sounds. When she attempted to rouse him she found he could not speak and that he was paralyzed. Mrs. McIntyre was one of the most prominent farmers of this vicinity where he lived all his life. He was a thrifty and well liked man. Early in life he put his membership in the Christian Church in which he remained until the end. He was the son of TJ McIntyre who died in the fall. His stepmother, Martha J. McIntyre is at present visiting in California. He was married June 6, 1881 to Miss Martha Harris who survives. Four daughters, Mrs. Carrie Byrd of Illinois; Mrs. Walter Wilson, Mrs. Robert Reed, Mrs. George McVey of near here and Miss Elizabeth McIntyre at home also survive. One brother William H. of north of here is living. The funeral will be Saturday morning at 11 at New Ross Christian Church, Joseph Myers, pastor will probably officiate. Burial at IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] Cemetery south of here.
