James Arthur McHargue, 87, R R Carbon, a prominent former Parke County Commissioner and township trustee, died at 12:25 p.m. Friday at his residence. He was a graduate of the Bloomingdale Institute and of Indiana State University. After teaching school for several years, he became a well-known farmer in Parke County. He was active in Republican affairs in Parke County throughout his life. He is survived by the widow, Clara, two sons, Raymond, Brazil, and J. C. Sarasota, Fla; a brother, Stephen, Carbon, a sister, Mrs. Phoebe Well, Carbon; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services ill be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Barnes Mortuary, with the Rev Irma Augsburger officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Terre Haute. Friends may call after 2 pm. Sunday –
