McGlashan - Mary Shaul

Mrs. Roy McGlashan died on Monday night at the home of her mother, Mrs. Belle Shaul, on W. Main Street. She was taken ill at her home in Chicago Heights, Ill. in Feb. with a cold which developed into tuberculosis. She was brought here about a month ago but made no improvement. Funeral services were held at the home at 11 on Thursday morning by Rev. U.M. Creath. Interment at Maple Ridge. Mary Olive, daughter of Samuel G. and Belle Shaul, was born on the McMurry place, west of town March 11, 1884. She was education in the Waveland schools and lived here until her marr. to Roy S. McGlashan December 19, 1906. They went to live at Grant Park, Ill. where Mr. McGlashan was employed as a telegraph operator, afterwards moving to Chicago Heights. The husband and a son, Harold, aged 22 months survive her. Mr. & Mrs. William McGlashan, the parents of Mr. McGlashan of Xenia Ill and Mrs. Mary Shaul of Pendleton were here for the funeral. -- kbz
