Kingman - Mrs. Bessie McGINNIS, 79, died at 9:10 a.m. Monday in Ben Hur Nursing Home, Crawfordsville where she had been a patient for a year. She was married June 4, 1910 to Parvin McGinnis who preceded her in death August 18, 1960. She was born Feb 13, 1893, in Parke County, a daughter of Cyrenus and Candice McKinsey Atkinson. Survivors include 3 daughters, Mrs. Helen Selby of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Lois McMullen of New Ross and Mrs. Gladys Poole of West Summerland, British Columbia; two sons, Arista of Rt 1 Kingman and Thomas Elmer of Parkersburg; two brothers, Frank Atkinson of Veedersburg and Clifford Atkinson of Moorehead, NC; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman with Rev. Frank Bunn of Parkersburg officiating. Burial will be in Sackmire Cemetery near Kingman. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 this evening. --kbz
