McGilliard - Priscilla Sanders

Mrs. Priscilla McGilliard, wife of Stephen Reeves McGilliard, died at her home on S. Wabash St. at 8:30 o'clock this morning after an illness covering several months. The deceased was born in Adams County, Ohio April 28, 1828 and at the time of her death was 59 years of age. Her maiden name was Sanders and she removed with her parents to this county in 1835. In 1850 she was married to SR McGilliard, who with four children, James W, Joseph P, Susanna wife of WW Vance and Jemima survive her. At an early age she united with the Christian Church and has been an earnest, zealous member of that organization for 40 years. She was a good neighbor, a kind and indulgent mother and an honest and consistent Christian. The funeral will take place from the family residence tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services by Rev JP Ewing of the Christian Church. Interment at Oak Hill. `` kbz
