Russellville - Raymond McGaughey, 74, native of Montgomery County and longtime resident of Russellville died Monday morning at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville where he had been a patient about 3 days. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. McGaughey was a retired garage owner and mechanic. Born Aug 16, 1895, near Waveland, he was the son of Clay and Martha Everman McGaughey. He was a WWI veteran and member of the Russellville Christian Church. His wife, the former Jessie Killian, preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Betty Rae McGaughey of California; two sons, Donnie McGaughey of California and Clay McGaughey of Russellville; a sister, Mrs. Edith Byrd of Danville, Ind; 16 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Russellville Christian Church. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery near Russellville. Friends may call at the McGaughey & Son Funeral Home in Russellville after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
