The death of Pleasant McGaughey, aged farmer, died at his home 4 miles west of Fincastle at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening after an illness of two weeks of debility of advanced age.  Funeral services will be Friday
afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church in Fincastle with burial in the Blakesburg Cemetery. Rev. OW McGaughey of Veedersburg will be in charge of the service.

Mr. McGaughey has been a farmer all his life and worked at that occupation until a few years ago. He was born in Putnam County and his life has been spent in the community of FIncastle. He was 81 years of age.

Surviving is the widow, Mrs. Samantha McGaughey, a daughter Mrs. Alta Shannon and two sons, Manford McGaughey and ELmer McGaughey, all of Fincastle and two brothers, Clay McGaughey of Waveland and Simpson
