Elmer McGaughey, 59, drowned in Raccoon Creek on Jue 26. He was born July 9, 1890, the son of Pleasant and Samantha Hart McGaughey. Survivors are 3 daughters, Mrs. Maxine Sponsel, June and Joan McGaughey, two sons, Claude Eldon and Donald Richard, a brother Manford and a sister, Alta Shannon. Burial was in Blakesburg Cemetery.
