McDaniel, Dr. Paul Wallace – Friends are
welcome from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the family hhome. Private service at
10 a.m.. Friday at Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville. Interment Oak Hill
Cemetery. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Michael Denham McDaniel and
Douglas Krug McDaniel. A son, Paul
William McDaniel, preceded in death in 1980. Sympathy may best be expressed by
contributing in memoriam to West Lafayette Public Library in the name of Dr.

Dr. Paul Wallace McDaniel, 85, dentist
of West Lafayette died at 2:55 a.m. Monday in Home Hospital. He was born at
Madison. He graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1919 and
did post-graduate study at the University of Chicago. He taught at Northwestern
University and received an honorary degree in 1924 for his contributions to
dentistry as a teacher and inventor. Dr. McDaniel practiced at Chicago for 40
years. He moved to West Lafayatte 18 years ago. Dr. McDaniel was an Army
veteran of WWI and a 32nd degree member of the Masonic Lodge and
Scottish Rite at Winnetka, Ill. He also was a member of Xi Psi Phi Fraternity.
In 1926 he was married to Dorothy Eichenlaub, a former pianist with the Chicago
Symphony Orchestra. Surviving with the widow is one son, James D. McDaniel of
