Mrs. Martha McDaniel, wife of the Rev. J. F. McDaniel, of east Market street, died suddenly Tuesday night of apoplexy. She had seemed in her usual health lately and Tuesday retired without complaining of illness. Wednesday she was found dead in her bed, having expired some time during the night. Mrs. McDaniel was 69 years of age and was an excellent Christian woman. The funeral took place Thursday at Sedalia. - Kim H

The remains of Mrs. J. F. McDaniel were taken to Burlington, Ind., on Thursday. They were accompanied by the family and Rev. Dr. Cissel. Relatives from abroad who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Emma Jones and husband, Fletcher McDaniel, wife and children, of Indianapolis, and Robert McDaniel of Delphi, Ind. A beautiful and costly pillow of flowers was presented by Mr. and Mrs. John A. Corbin. - s
