Mrs. Margaret McCullough, widow of the late Maxwell McCullough, died Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock at her home near Smartsburg. Mrs. McCullough suffered an apoplectic stroke last Saturday, which coupled with an organic affection of the heart, caused her death. Mrs. McCullough was seventy three years old. The funeral occurred at the home Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, the services being conducted by Revs. Crim and Woody. The interment was at Shiloh cemetery.- transcribed by Kim H.

Mrs Margaret McCullough, whose death occurred Wednesday, June 4, at her home near Smartsburg, was born in Westmoreland county, Penn., Sept. 18, 1829. She came to Montgomery county in 1855 and the following year was married to Maxwell McCullough, since which time she had lived on the same farm three miles east of Crawfordsville. - transcribed by Kim H.
