New Richmond, April 3-- The funeral of Capt. Edward T. McCrea, who died here early Wednesday was held today and was largely attended. The services took place at the Methodist Church at 10 and owing to the rain the Masonic rites were performed in the church instead of at the grave side. The pall bearers were all Masons, Capt. McCrea having been a member of the order. They were: Lon Brown; Fred Hunt; Bayless Alexander; John Henderson and Tom Batna of this place and William Vess of Romney. A mixed quartet sang as a part of the service: When the Roll is Called Up Yonder; an old-favorite of the deceased man: Nearer, Still Nearer and Sam Day. The Masons had charge of the ritualistic services, which were given at the grave side. -- typed by kbz
