Waynetown March 23 - Edgar Pearl McCracken, 57, died at his home here at 3:25 o'clock Wednesday morning, following a heart attack suffered two hours earlier.  Mr. McCracken, however, had been afflicted wit a heart ailment for some time.  Mr. McCracken had resided on farms near Waynetown for the past 15 years but had moved to Waynetown some time ago, due partially to impaired health.  

The son of Thomas and Lucy Evans McCracken, he was born Aug 4, 1891 in Pulaski County, Kentucky. He was married April 11, 1914 to Della Bishop in Pulaski County.

The widow survives together with a son, Eunice McCracken, at home and four daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Katter and Mrs. Goldie Pendleton both of Lafayette; Mrs. Violet Hudson of Waynetown and Miss Charlotte McCracken at home. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Estella Higgins who lived in Montana and Mrs. Florence Black of Waynetown and one brother George McCracken who resides in Ohio.  

Mr. McCracken was a member of the Waynetown Christian Church of which he was a deacon, He also held membership in the Odd Fellows lodge.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Waynetown Christian Church as 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. Floyd J. Armstrong.  Burial will be made in the Waynetown cemetery. Friends may call at the residence to pay their respects.  - kbz
