LADOGA - Florence McCoy, 87, of Ladoga, died Saturday in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga. She was a life resident of Ladoga. She was a member of Ladoga United Methodist Church and Ladoga Barracks Auxiliary. She was a charter member of Alpha Pi Omega Sorority. Born May 8, 1889, she was a daughter of George and Lizzie Akers Cope of Ladoga. Upon the death of her mother at age 2, she was adopted by John C. and Kizia Goodbar. She married Wilbur McCoy in June of 1921. Survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Ralph Gentry of New Market and Mrs. Robert Glaze of Hollywood Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Donald; and two sisters. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Perkins Funeral Home at Ladoga with the Rev. Wendall Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. - jlr
