McCormick - Nancy Line

This morning at 9:15 o'clock Mrs. Nancy McCormick, one of the oldest and most highly respected ladies of Montgomery county, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.F. Guntle, in Englewood. Death resulted from the infirmities of old age. Mrs. McCormick was born in Butler county, Ohio, November 18, 1828, and came to this county in 1853. In the following year she was married to the late Hugh McCormick of Crawfordsville. Shortly after their marriage they moved to a farm three miles east of this city, where Mrs. McCormick remained until five years ago, since which time she has made her home with her daughter. Mr. McCormick died there in 1899. The deceased is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Salome Guntle, Mrs. Henry Chadwick and Mrs. W.C. Gray of this city, and Mrs. Thomas W. Hayes of Indianapolis, two grandchildren, Hugh M. Gray and Edith M. Chadwick, and one great grandchild, Katherine M. Gray. The funeral will be held from the home of Mrs. J.F. Guntle, 1301 east Main street, Thursday afternoon at 3: o'clock. - kbz

Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy
McCormick were held this (Thursday) afternoon at 4 o’clock at the home of Mrs.
JF Guntle, 1201 E. Main Street. The pall bearers were: Hugh Gray; Harold Gray;
Ed Line; John B. Line; Ora Sellers and Jhn Pennock. Rev. Mr. Elder conducted the service and music
was given by a quartet composed of John Messmore, George Shanklin, Miss Belle
Elder and Mrs. Gray. Burial was made in
Oak Hill cemetery. - kbz
