McCormick - Josephine Coons

Mrs. Josephine McCormick, 74, widow of Wilmot McCormick died Wednesday evening at her home, 310 S Green Street. She had been ill several months. A lifelong resident of this community and the last surviving member of her family, Mrs. McCormick was born August 17, 1875, southwest of Crawfordsville. Her parents were William S. and Jane VanCleave Coons. Mrs. McCormick married Wilmot McCormick Dec 17, 1894. The husband died in 1927. She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Besides the husband, a daughter, Opal preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Saturday morning at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home. Harold Fortney of the First Church of Christ Scientist will offiiate. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home.
