Mrs. Icyl McCormick, 73, wife of George H. McCormick and a resident of the Ladoga area for more than 40 years, died Monday morning in Culver Hospital. She had been ill for six months. Born Aug. 31, 1891 in Fountain County, Ind., Mrs. McCormick was the daughter of Albert and Louie Keeling Shular. She was married Aug. 25, 1912 at Crawfordsville. Mrs. McCormick lived in Crawfordsville before moving to a farm near Ladoga. She attended schools in Fountain and Montgomery counties, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Her residence was on Rt. 2, Ladoga. Surviving, in addition to the husband, are a son, Albert F. McCormick of Brownsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Sewell of Lizton and Mrs. Lorraine Dean of Indianapolis, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hunt and Son mortuary in charge of Rev. John Servies. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. John Servies officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were Lloyd F. McCormick, Lloyd Wayne McCormick, Lawrence Alexander, Steve Sewell, Lynn Pike and Bernard Clore. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O.C. Edwards.
