ALAMO – Funeral services for former Alamo resident M. Sgt. Hubert D. “Mac” McCormick have been conducted in Austin, Tex. Interment was in Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. Sgt. McCormick, 56, was an Alamo resident until he entered the military service. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had lived in Austin seven years. Surviving are his wife, Ruby; his mother, Mrs. Carrie I. McCormick of Hillsboro; a son, Mike of Austin; two brothers, James of Henderson, Ky., and George of New Richmond, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Foxworthy of Hillsboro. – jlr
