McCormack - Della Bowman Stoner

Mrs. Della Stoner McCormack, whose seventy-ninth birthday would have occurred on January 6, passed away at the Culver hospital, Crawfordsville, this morning at 4:10(?) o'clock. She received a broken hip in a fall on December 26 and had been in the hos- pital since that time. Mrs. McCormack was born in Boone county, a daughter of Jacob and Patsy Bowman, and she spent her early life in the western part of the county near Beckville. She was married in the (illegible) November 26, 1879, to Andrew Jackson Stoner who died January 5, 1895. She was married in Louisville, Ky on October 22, 1912(?) to Jackson McCormack who died in March, 1930. For several years Mrs. McCormack had spent the warm months of the year in Crawfordsville and the winters in Miami Beach, Florida. She was a member of the Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and Women of the Grand Army at Crawfordsville. Survivors are niece and nephews, several of whom reside in Boone County. She was the mother two children one dying in infancy and the other at six years of age. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the Hunt and Ratcliff Funeral home in Crawfordsville. Burial will be in Pisgah cemetery near Beckville.
