McCormack - Daisy Hoggans

Daisy McCormack, 95, 113 E. Wabash Ave., died at 2:20 a.m. this morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. Mrs. McCormack secured the bell that is now in the bell tower of the Wesleyan Church located at 310 S. Green St. She and her husband ran the McCormack Coffee shop which was located near the Strand Theatre. She was a member of the Markleville Christian Church, Markleville Eastern Star, Women's Relief Corps and Daughters of Union Veterans. She was born March 5, 1877 in Knightstown, Ind., a daughter of Ahaz and Anna Decker Hoggans. She married Clint McCormack on Nov. 17, 1897 at Cadiz, Ind. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Powers Funeral Home here with Rev. William C. Killin officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday. - jlr
