McConnell - Robert Powers

Robert Powers McConnell, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira McConnell, ended his brief life, after five weeks of intense suffering, August 28, aged 7 month sand 12 days. Those who observed him dying daily could not but wonder why one so free from earthly stain; who had not sinned, and could not have known what sin was, should be required to endure so much pain. When his little body lay in its casket surrounded by the purest and sweetest lilies we could not help but reflect that no flower among them could be purer. He merely opened his eyes to the light of the world, lingered a little while, then passed beyond its confines to an inheritance incorruptible and that fadeth not away.
