Clay McGILL, about 80, of Georgetown, was found dead at his home
April 28 1960. He lived alone and was found by a neighbor who had
gone to the home to see about getting him groceries. Coroner Don
C. Goodwin was notified; death believed from natural causes. Born
in Putnam County, he was the son of James K.P. and Minerva Davis
McGill. Surviving are 3 brothers: Walter; Frank and Charles. He
was preceded in death by 8 brothers. Services were held Sunday
afternoon at Houghton Funeral Home, Rev OG Greene officiated and
burial in Thomas Cemetery, near Newport. - typed by kbz
