McDaniel - Judson

After suffering 8 weeks with a complication of stomach and
lung troubles, Judson McDaniel departed this life at about 8
o'clock Wed. morning, March 2, 1904 aged 39 years 10 months and
24 days. Judson as b. on a farm 3 mi. W. of Parkersburg,
Montgomery Co IN April 8, 1866. In 1868 his parents moved to
Hendricks Co. where they lived until 1874 when they moved to
Jamestown. Judson was educated in the Jamestown & No. Salem
schools. When quite a young boy (picture here) he commenced to
learn the drug business under his father, Mr. John McDaniel and
on April 2, 1887 he entered into a partnership with his father,
and has continued since in the drug business. He was one of a
family of 8 children 6 of whom have preceded him to that great
unknown. On Oct 14, 1902 he was marr. to Miss Lulu Cole. To this
union were born one child, a daughter who with the widow, his
mother, Mrs. Mary McDaniel and his sister, Mrs. Lizzie Oliphant
besides a large number of other relatives and a host of friends
are left to mourn his departure. Fun. services will be held this
afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence conducted by Rev. FK
Daugherty. Interment at Odd Fellow Cemetery The obsequies will be
in charge of Luther Lodge, IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows] and Calumet Tribe IORM of which
orders he was a member.
