Hugh Clayton McCormick, 56, of Country Club Road was dead on arrival at Culver Hospital Monday afternoon after suffering a heart attack at work. He was an employe of R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co. for 35 years. He worked as a compositor. Mr. McCormick was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge, the American Legion and the Crawfordsville Masonic Lodge. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a graduate of Crawfordsville High School. He was born on May 21, 1917, at Crawfordsville, a son of Howard and Hazel Hudson McCormick. He was married to Rose Needham on Aug. 16, 1941, at New Ross. She survives. Also surviving are his mother of Crawfordsville; three sons, David of Bloomington and Dale and Harold of Terre Haute; a daughter, Karen of Bloomington; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Doris) McIntire of Crawfordsville, and a grandchild. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Little officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the heart fund. – jlr
