McClure - Joan Yesumas

Mrs. Joan McClure, wife of Chase McClure, died May 16th 1979, at her home in Lexington Ky., after a lingering illness. She was born at Westville, Ill., June 24, 1914, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Yesumas, graduated from Westville school and took her teacher training in the Normal School at Charleston, Ill. She was a teacher in the Westville schools. While still in High School she was a correspondent for the Danville Commercial News. After her marriage she moved to Lexington, Ky. She is survived by her husband; three sons, Philip McClure and Clark McClure, both of Lexington, and Mark McClure of Seattle, Wash. Also three sisters: Mrs. Josephine Osborn of Hillsboro, Ind., Ann Boyer of Arizona, and Mary Brant of Westville, and several nieces and nephews. She was a frequent visitor of her sister, Mrs. Osborn, at Hillsboro. Funeral services and burial at Lexington, Ky. - jlr
