McCloud - Dora Marie Russell

Mrs. Dora Marie McCloud, wife of Elza Everett McCloud died in Culver Hospital Saturday Evening, Dec 5, following a painful illness. Mrs. McCloud was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lon Russell and was born Feb 28, 1899 at Wayentown. She attended the local schools and in 1916 was married to Elza Everett McCloud who survives with 3 children: Helen 19; Ernest 16 and Lucille 17; also the parents and one brother Ralph Russell and a number of nephews and nieces. She joined the Waynetown Christian Church at the age of 13. Since moving to Waveland she transferred her membership to the local church where she belonged to the various church organizations and was an efficient and ageeable worker. In the four years she has lived in Waveland she has made many friends who regret her passing. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Monday afternoon at two o'clock in charge of the pastor Rev Frank Albert of Indianapolis. Music was furnished by Mrs. Wilmer Sharpe who sang, with Mrs. Lowell Spencer at the piano. Pall bearers were Wayne Simms; Junior Russell; Richard Johnson; Lee Foster; Lloyd Thompson and Bill Machledt. Flower bearers were Mesdames Ivan Harris; Floyd Moore; Hubert Loudermill; Indian Sharpe; Guy Heslar and Wayne Simms. Interment was in Presbyterian Cemetery. -- transcribed by kbz
