Miss Nora McCLAIN, 62 was instantly killed early Monday morning when she ran into a passing car in front of her home after avoiding a truck. Her head was horribly crushed. Funeral services at Mt. Moriah yesterday afternoon were in charge of Rev. Cornelius Airhart. Mrs. Charles Moore and Mrs. Frank Moore sang, with Mrs. Airhart at the piano. The casket was carried by Ferm Sturgeon; Joseph McClain; Wesley McClain; Manson Watson Cash Buckler and Frank Moore. The flowers were carried by Mrs. Earl Overpeck; Mrs. Clayton Hamilton; Mrs. Ferm Sturgeon and Mrs. Ralph Kite. One sister, Rena survives. A brother, James born and died Aug 8. The sisters had recently sold the little farm on which they had spent thier lives and bought a home in Hollandsburg. - transcribed by kbz
