LlNDEN - Bernard F. McCay, 80, of Linden, a retired farmer, died at 12:58 p.m. Monday in Veterans Hospital at Danville, Ill. He had been a patient three weeks and in failing health more than a year. Mr. McCay retired from farming in 1960. He had lived in Montgomery County since 1910. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of American Legion Post 306 at Linden and Old Christian Church. Born Feb. 5. 1895, in Tippecanoe County, he was a son of Carter and Martha Crose McCay. He was married to Ruth Moore at Crawfordsville on June 10, 1918. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Mac and David of Linden; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Margaret Ann) Priebe of Rantoul, Ill., and Mrs. Robert (Mary) Anderson of Marietta, Ga.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Helms Funeral Home at Linden with the Rev Dr. Henry Oakes officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-9 p.m. Wednesday. - jlr
