MARSHALL – Parke McCampbell, 85, of Marshall died Wednesday in Parke County Nursing Home at Rockville. Mr. McCampbell was a veteran of World War I and a member of Marshall Baptist Church, F & AM Lodge 127, Scottish Rite, Murat Shrine, Wallace Low 12 Club, and Veterans of Foreign Wars at Rockville. He was born Sept. 25, 1894, in Parke County, a son of Charles and Carrie Newlin McCampbell. On Oct. 17, 1917, he was married to the former Mabel Cummings, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert McCampbell of Marshall; a daughter, Mrs. Jane White of Marshall; a sister, Mrs. Lela Whitted of Rockville; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Rice Funeral Home at Marshall with the Rev. Fred Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Friday. –
