Monon Trainmaster C. McCammon died last Saturday at 8:45 o’clock from injuries received Friday in the wreck near Monon. The Lafayette papers of last Friday and Saturday reported his injuries as not serious, but it seems that the report reaching the Journal Friday as to the fatal character of his injuries was correct. The body of the unfortunate man was brought to his home in Lafayette on Saturday’s train. Mr. McCammon had a large acquaintance here and was a close friend of James H. Watson. -s
