Daniel B. McCALL, died on Friday night at 11 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mamie Bell in Clinton. Death resulted from diabetes. Funeral services were held at the Logansport Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon Rev. E, C. Brown of the Clinton Baptist Church being in charge. Burial at Logansport by the side of his wife. Mr. McCall was the son of William and Susan McPherson McCall and was born in Annapolis in Parke County in May 1821. He married Josephine Buch in 1876. To them were born six children, two dying in infancy, and one son, Charles, dying five years ago. The wife died August 17, 1921. There are 3 children living; Mrs. Mamie Bell of Clinton, Mrs. John Conway of Logansport, Leonard McCall of Needles, California and William McCall of Waveland is the only surviving brother. Mr. McCall lived in Waveland after he was married until he moved to Marshall where he lived nine years. He then moved to Logansport. Since the death of his wife he has lived with his daughter in Clinton. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 37 years as a section hand and a crossing watchman. He was retired on a pension May 1, 1921. He joined the Methodist Church at Lusk Chapel in 1868 and the I. O. O. F. Lodge at Waveland in 1872. It was impossible for the son in California to get here for the funeral on account of the strike on the Santa Fe. In fact it was not possible to get word to him until it was explained to the operator at Clinton that it was a death message. - kbz
