Manford McBride, 87, a retired farmer died at 9:30 a.m. Friday (March 22) at the home of a stepdaughter, Mrs. Myrtle Fogleman of Covington Rt 3. A life resident of Fountain County, Mr. McBride was born March 3, 1870, in Wabash Township, son of Mr. and Mrs. John McBride. He was married in 1897 to Ida Greenley who preceded him in death May 10, 1922. Surviving are a brother, Ora McBride of Veedersburg; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Fogleman; Mrs. Very Young of Redwood Falls, Minn and Mrs. Grethiel Hibbs of Crawfordsville; two grandsons, and several grat grandchildren. A son, Walter, and several brothers and sisters preceded him in death. He made his home with Jim Redmond in Attica 30 years and had resided with his stepdaughter since last November. Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Gerald Durre officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery at Attica. - kbz
