Roland S. McAlister, 49 of 907 Lane Ave, a 24-year-employee of Ingress-Plastene, died at 150 a.m. today in Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and veteran of World War II.
He was born at Crawfordsville on July 21, 1924, a son of Roland and Marie Hipes McAlister., He was married April 6, 1946 at Minneapolis to Betty Shipper. She survives.
Also surviving are his mother of Minneapolis; three sons, William of Ladoga; S. Sgt. Craig McAlister of Tye, Tex and Jay at home; five daughters, Nancy, Brenda, Julia, Joetta and Kelley, all at home; two sisters, Rebecca Dabrowski of Florida and Mrs. Barbara Gay of Peoria, Ill and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Jump officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
