McAlister - Orval - WWI

Mellott - Orval McAlister, 65-year old former resident of this community died Saturday at his home in Indianapois.  Mr. McAlister was born on a farm two miles southwest of here, the son of David and Nannie Bailey McAlister.  He lived in this community until he joined the US Army in WWI. He had lived in Indianapolis the past 30 years.  

He was a member of the 8th Christian Church and Wayne American Legion Post of Indianapolis.  Survivors include the widow, Bertha; three sisters, Mrs. Opal Burk of Lawrence; Mrs. Daisy Sowers of Indianapolis and Mrs. Nellie Murdock of Wingate.  

Funeral services will be conducated at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Flanner & Buchanan, Fall Creek Mortuary in Indianapolis. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.  -kbz
