Source: Crawfordsville Saturday Journal Feb 12, 1887 -- Mrs. Martha McCLELLAND died at her home on North Street this city at 10 o'clock Tuesday night of pneumonia. The deceased was the wife of John McClelland and was near 50 years of age. The funeral occurred on Thursday at 2 o'clock, services at th e house by Rev. Mr .and Mrs. W.A. Huff were called in from Renssalaer last Wednesday by the death, by pneumonia, of Mrs. John McClelland, mother of Mrs. Huff. Mrs. McClelland was born on July 8, 1839 and leaves a husband and several children to mourn her death. The family extend heartfelt thanks to their kind friends for comfort and assistance in their sad hour of bereavement. - kbz
