Elridge K. McBroom of Veedersburg died at the Lake View Hospital at Danville Sunda night, his death resulting from complications which followed an operation submitted to a wek ago at which time he had his left foot amputated.
The deceased was born Aug 6 , 1854 and was the son of Elam and Margaret McBroom. THe great part of his life was spent in the vicinity of Hillsboro. Survivals (sic) are two sons, Fred of Pine Village; Dean of near Veedersburg and one daughter, Mrs. Monte Holland of Kansas City.
The remains were taken to the home of his son Dean McBroom of near Yeddo where funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30. Burial was at the Hillsboro cemetery --- kbz

Veedersburg, July 21 -- Elldrige K. McBROOM, 76 died at the Lakeview Hospital, Danville Sunday night his death resulting from complications which followed an operation submitted to a week ago at which time he had his left foot amputated. The deceased was born Aug 6, 1854 and was the son of Elam and Margaret McBroom. The greater part of his life was spent in the vicinity of Hillsboro, Survivors are two sons, Fred of Pine Village; Dean of near Veedersburg, and one daughter, Mrs. Monte Holland of Kansas City. The remains were taken to the home of his son, Dean by J. Fred Parham, local funeral director, where funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30.
