Helen, daughter of Mrs. Fred Maxwell, who has been ill for a long time with diabetes, died in Union Hospital at Terre Haute at five on Wednesday afternoon. She was apparently much better and accompanied her sister, Mrs. Harold Weatherwax, to Worthington on Tuesday. On the way she became ill and Mrs. Weatherwax took her to a hotel in Worthington. The next day she was removed to the hospital and Mrs. Maxwell notified, but the child died before she reached her bedside. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two. Burial beside her father at the Masonic Cemetery at Crawfordsville.

Waveland, May 12 – Helen E. Maxwell, daughter of Mrs. Fred Maxwell of Waveland, died at a hospital in Terre haute at 6:00 o’clock Wednesday evening following an illness which lasted several weeks. Miss Maxwell who was born June 19, 1913 had been a victim of diabetes during the past winter, her condition gradually growing worse. She was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning.  
Miss Maxwell was a popular member of the freshman class at the Waveland High School and had spent all of her life near Waveland and Byron. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Besides her mother, three sisters, Mrs. Harold Weatherwax of Worthington, Mrs. Elijah Weaver of Texas and Evangeline at home and her grandmother, Mrs. Alice Munns of New market survive.  The funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Presbyterian Church in Waveland.  The burial will be made at the Masonic cemetery in Crawfordsville.
