Waynetown - Mrs. Ida Burris Masters, 79, died about 5 a.m. Thursday at Culver Hospital, where she had been ill since May. She had been taken to the hospital on May 26 following a cornoary occlusion. Mrs. Masters was born at Waynetown on July 18, 1887 to William and Rhoda Osburn Burris. She was married in 1923 to Charles Gravitt who died in 1926. In 1931 she married Henry Masters - died 1961. Mrs. Masters was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and Delta Alpha Sunday school class. She was active in OES having been a past matron of the Waynetown Chapter No 435 and past deputy of District No 9. She was graduated from Waynetown HS in 1907. Surviving are one stepdaughter, Mary Louise Skogg of Danville, Ill; one half brother, James R. Burris of Bradenton, FL and one sister-in-law, Myrtle Burris of Mulberry. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Servies Funeral Home, Waynetown, Myron Hinton pastor of the Waynetown Baptist Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Friday. The burial will be at the Wayneotwn Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
