Martin- William - 1907

William Martin a leading Democrat and prominent and well-to-do farmer of eight miles south of this city, died Sunday afternoon at half past one. He had been ill for more than a year with tuberculosis. He was united in marriage to Mary Lewis in 1876 and to them eight children were born, two of whom are dead. Those living are Wallace, William, Harvey, and Claude Martin, Mrs. David Douglas and Miss Lue Martin. Charley and John are dead. Mr. Martin was a prominent member of the Methodist church at New Market and of the K. of P. lodge. The interment will take place at Oak Hill cemetery.
