Martin - Kenneth

The fourth person died Wed evening as the result of an automobile accident on Highway 43 south of Lafayette Tues night which claimed the lives of three other persons. Kenneth M Martin, 19 of near New Richmond died at 830 p.m. Wed in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Martin was injured when the car he was driving slid sideways out of control on Highway 43 and was struck broadside by another car driven by Gus Gineris, 816 Wayne Ave, C'ville.
Three other passengers in Martin's car were killed in the crash. They were Thomas Edward Cook, 22, New Richmond; William Kenneth Ferguson, 20 Crawfordsville and Charles Lyons, 25, New Richmond. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Gineris, riding in the other car remained in the Home Hospital Thursday. Mrs. Gineris' condition was satisfactory and her husband's condition was listed "fairly good."
Martin was the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Martin. He attended New Richmond HS and was employed by the King Seed Company near Romney. Surviving besides the parents are the following brothers and sisters: Lester, Thorntown; Lawrence, Newtown; Richard at home; Mrs. Silas Mullen and Mrs. Alonzo Booher and Mrs. Earl Gray, Jr all of Lafayette; Mrs. Lester Skeen, Thorntown; Mrs. Charles Hopkins, Indianapolis; Mrs. Forest Winger and Mrs. Forest Guard, both of Linden; Mrs. Walter Smith, Mellott; Mrs. Gerald Fuller, Crawfordsville; Mrs. Simon Deeb, Lucerne and Mrs. David Snellenberger, New Richmond.- kbz
