Mrs. Charlotte Blanche Marmaduke, 86, former Wingate resident who had resided at the Durham Home in Crawfordsville for the past seven years, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at Culver Hospital. She had been ill several months. Born Aug. 6, 1882 near Clarks Hill, Mrs. Marmaduke was the daughter of Bourbon and Addie Thompson. She was married June 29, 1914 to William Marmaduke. Mrs. Marmaduke resided most of her life in Wingate where her husband was a grocer. She was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church and Wingate Chapter No. 336, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, Rex Marmaduke of Indianapolis; a granddaughter, Mrs. John Nealy Jr., of Indianapolis; a grandson, Gery Marmaduke of Rola, Mo., and a great-grandson, Jeffrey Cancel of Indianapolis. Services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Hunt and Son Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Jean McCan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Friends may call at the mortuary after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Blanche Marmaduke were held in the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jean McCan officiating. Burial was in the Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were John Greenberg, John McCorkle, Harold Oxley, C. L. Miller, Maurice Thompson and Carl Thompson. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O. C. Edwards.
