Tuesday at Peoria while coasting, a sled on which were seated six boys, crashed into a street car and four of them are now in the hospital. One of the boys will die, and another is perhaps fatally injured, while Wallace Markley, son of John Markley, well known in this city, is badly injured internally. Mrs. J. C. Sloan and Mrs. J. C. Fry went to Peoria Wednesday, young Markley being their nephew.

Henry Sloan has received a telegram from Peoria stating that his nephew, young Wallace Markley, died yesterday morning as the result of his coasting accident.

Wallace Markley, son of John Markley, who died last Thursday morning at Peoria as the result of a coasting accident Wednesday evening, was fourteen years old. He was terribly injured in the accident, being hurt internally and several bones were broken. The funeral occurred Saturday and Mrs. J. C. Fry and Mrs. H. S. Sloan, who are sisters of the boy’s mother, attended. Mr. Markley was a former resident of this city and is now superintendent of bridges and buildings on the T. P.& W.
