Pearl J. Manning, 85, a Crawfordsville resident for the past 20 years, died Saturday in Ben Hur Nursing Home. She had resided at 1607 Elmore St. Mrs. Manning was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church. She was born in Lincoln, Neb., on June 1, 1890, a daughter of Charles and Florinnius Brown Johnson. She first married Walter Snider. After his death, she married Edward Manning. Surviving are a son, Charles Snider of Lafayette; a daughter, Mrs. Beulah Runyon of Crawfordsville; two brothers, Leroy Johnson of Otterbein and David Johnson of California; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jane Snider of Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Services will be 10 a.m. Tueaday in Hunt and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Penrod officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery at Lafayette. Friends may call at the funeral home. – jlr
