LADOGA — Mrs. Frances Maltsberger, 80, died Tuesday night in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient for one month. She was an employe of the Sunshine Cafe in Ladoga for several years. Mrs. Maltsberger was a member of the Christian Church in Walkerville, Mich. She was born March 17, 1891, at Covington, Ky., a daughter of Perry and Elizabeth Williams Howard. She married Clarence M. Maltsberger in 1905 at Hart, Mich. He preceded her in death March 14, 1969. They first resided at Linden and had spent the last 20 years in Ladoga. Surviving are a son, Dale of Crawfordsville; two daughters, Mrs. Reba Hughes of New Concord, Ky. and Mrs. Lillian Chase of Lafayette; a brother, George Howard of Muskegon, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Earl Kidder of Hart, Mich.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons, Woodrow and Elmer; a daughter, Shirley Maxine; a sister, and three brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. George Boone of Ladoga will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
