William Malsbary, one of the oldest residents of Champaign County, Illinois passed away at the home of his son, George M. Malsbary in Darlington at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning of last week. The aged man was nearly 82 years old. His death although not unexpected, shocked the many friends and members of the family. The deceased was a pioneer of Champaign County, Illinois. For the past two weeks a trained nurse and physician was at the bedside of Mr. Malsbary at times. Everything was done to save his life. The following children survive: Edwin L. of Lincoln, Neb; Warren W of Fairmont, Neb; George M. of Darlington; Mrs. J.C. Stockard of Logansport; Mrs. Charles Mercer of New Carlisle, Ohio; Frank R of Indianapolis and Grace of Urbana, Ill. Mr. Jasper Malsbary, who lives in Crawfordsville is a brother of the deceased. The Rev. W Martin of the Christian Church of Darlington had charge of the funeral services which were held at the son's home in Darlington Friday morning. Burial was made at the Greenlawn Cemetery. - kbz

The will of the late William Malsbary, of Darlington, was admitted to probate last week. The will provides that most of the real property consisting of lands in and around Darlington be left to the widow, Mrs. Martha H. Malsbary. A division of the remainder of the estate is to be made between the children. They are Edwin L., Warren N,, George, Frank R., and Grace E. Malsbary and Alice Stockard and Jessie M. Mercer. Geo. M. Malsbary is named executor.
