Mrs. Ethel MALONE, 74, Crawfordsville died at 6 p.m. Monday, March 30, 1959 in Culver Hospital. Born Nov 14, 1884, nine miles E. of Crawfordsville she was the daughter of Daniel and Angeline Stout Remley. She married Rev. OK Malone Oct 14, 1914 in the old Presbyterian Church. Mr. Malone has been supplying the Waveland Presbyterian pulpit since Jan 1958. Survivors include the husband; two sons, Daniel R. of Blue Ash, Ohio and O. Francis Malone of Martinez, California; a cousin, Mrs. Sally Herr of Crawfordsville; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lena Remley of Crawfordsville; an uncle, Alvin J. Stout of Crawfordsville and three granddaughters. Funeral services were held in Crawfordsville with the Bright Funeral Home in charge. -- kbz

Crawfordsville – Mrs. Ethel (Remley) Malone, 74, 413 South Walnut died at 6 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital where she had been a patient since last Thursday. She had been in failing health since 1953.  Born in Montgomery County east of Crawfordsville she attended Crawfordsville schools and moved here when a young girl. She was the wife of Rev OK Malone and they were married here in 1914.  For a number of years Mrs. Malone was known as a ceramic artist, designing and painting her own ceramics. Rev. Malone’s first pastorate was in Logansport, and he also served the Bourbon, Orleans, Tipton and Lawrenceburg Presbyterian Church.  He retired in 1945 and he and his wife returned here. Rev. Malone is currently supplying the Waveland pastorate. Mrs. Malone was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Daniel R of Blue Ash, Ohio and O. Francis of Martinez, Calif.  – kbz
