Covington, Ind. (CNS) —Mrs. Ladoska Maffett, 89, died at 8:45 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 2, 1967) at the Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville. She had been a patient there two days and had been ill a year. Born Jan. 26, 1878, in Fountain County, she was the daughter of Henry C. and Eliza Jane Minor Dearing. She was married Oct. 21, 1897, to Elmer C. Maffett, who died Oct. 30, 1965. Mrs. Maffett resided in Veedersburg until the death of her husband. Since that time, she has resided with a daughter, Mrs. Eva M. Grubb of Covington. They spend the winters at Ft. Myers, Fla. Survivors include her daughter; two sisters, Mrs. Zaola Pattengale of Warsaw and Mrs. Elizabeth Reed Long of Hillsboro; 3 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Sunday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home. The Rev. James Dyson will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received after 1 p.m. Saturday. --typed by Walt W
